I wanted to know if I was ripped off on my lease contract. I put 3k down and my payments for a 2002 s2k at sticker for a 3 year lease with 15k miles/year is $477.85/month (tax included)

Is this too much?

Payments seem a little high. Did you get a sh!t load of options (~$3000 worth)?

I leased my S2K, and I'm quite happy with it. Sadly tho', I may end up buying it since Silverstone is no longer available, hopefully they will make a color I love in '04.

No I did not get any options. Is there anything I can do at this point? Get another lease company to finance me?

36 months of payment and the residual comes to 38,548. This inc taxes and interests.

I think you did fine. In 3 yrs will your car be worth 21k?? Probably... Can you live w. the payments, happy, etc? Then dont worry about it

IF you went to another leasing co. now they would have to buy your lease so you probably would not gain anything...

You people have it easy in the US!

My payments are nearly $1,700 AUD a month (roughly $900USD) for a three year lease

Residual is $28,000 AUD.
