How many S2000s are left?
I was thinking about how we can guess at how many S2000s are left on the road today (not wrecked, stored), and I came across this British site -
Since UK tracks how many vehicles are licensed each year, it has a pretty accurate number to give us if you collect the data like this guy did -

In UK at least, there are roughly 7,300 S2000s left.
With access to the official sales numbers by country and a little fancy math, we can probably guestimate how many are left in a country based on total sales and similar attrition, but I haven't found a sales total for UK yet, just all of Europe.
We know there were ~20k sales in Japan - I wonder if there's a similar way to track the annual registrations there...
Might be a good step towards knowing about how many S2000s are left.

If we assume half of the 19k European S2000s were sold in UK, then that means about 20% loss so far. If we assume similar numbers for the United states (slightly higher loss rate actually), and 66,000 NA sales, that's around 50,000 S2000s left in USA and CAN.
anyone get an accurate answer on this? or ya'll still just estimating to the best of your knowledge?
the reason i ask is because username "michaelnyden" has a friend in NY that he was trying to raise $20,000 for the start of making a cold-side twin screw supercharger.
If i can get an accurate count of how many S2000's are left and how many of them would actually purchase this upgrade i can figure out a price point for at least breaking even if i donated $20,000. A small profit would be nice, but the true reward would be the happy faces of every S2000 equipped with a badass Twin Screw S/C.

I think the number of people that even want FI is low, the number that want supercharging even lower, and dwindling daily for the S2000.
I'd think your money would be better spent on hookers and blow.

If it is better than the problem free and smile inducing SoS2 1200 I've been running for years, I'd be in. Feeling lazy this morning...how would a twin screw be better in an s2000 in one or two sentences? Please enlighten me.
