today while on an entrance ramp, I let out the clutch a little too quickly and heard a quick "grrrrr" noise coming from the gearbox. It wasnt a prolonged grinding, and i didnt force it into gear, so how much damage did I do to the transmission?

 

I'm no tranny specialist...but if your car shifted without any problems on your way home, it should be fine.

 

Agreed. If it shifts ok and doesn't make any more noise, you should be fine. Gearboxes can take a lot of punishment. Relax and enjoy.

The MY2000-01 have tranny issues...

 

mines a 2002, but after 100 more miles today, i havent had any more problems shifting. What exactly are the tranny problems you speak of?

 

My s2 pops out of 4gear when im just cruising? 2001 S2

I have 2000kms on my 2001 S2k. She was built in March 01.

To this date i have no problems with grinding into any gear. I have grinded into 2nd a few times but that has to do with driver error and not pushing in the clutch in fully or not shifting at the right time. I think that is the main cause of gear grinds here.

People Cant drive! Get an Automatic S2000...
