Don't want to hijack this thread, this is along similar lines.
Getting a lip painted, what are the chances/costs of getting a clear bra on just the lip? I've noticed my lip gets the crap beaten out of it on the road, and since I'll be getting a new lip (spugen) i'd like to go ahead and get it protected up front. It would have to be custom I imagine, but it's a relatively small section to clear bra.

You would have to talk a local shop that installs clear bra. I looked into awhile back, and a local shop in my area said he could cover the oem front lip for around $75. He wanted me to send him the dimensions so he could figure out how much film to use. But it is possible.
Before I forget, one reason why I didn't have it done, was because the lip was just repainted and the shop won't apply clear bra film onto it until the paint has fully cured (about 4 weeks). I got impatient and put the lip back on after 5 days and didn't want to wait a month to have the film applied then put on the lip.
