Default How much does it cost to recharge the AC?

Hey guys, I was working on my car and needed to move an AC line, and I thought that one of the nuts was holding down the line to a bracket, but that was not the case. I loosened it and got a face full of freeon (sp?). So now I need to get my AC recharged, any idea how much it will cost? Thanks.

~$20 if you do it yourself. go to your local auto store and pick up some cans of R134a and a charging kit.

Get some cans at Wal-Mart and do it yourself. Cheap and easy to do.

Oh, I had no idea that you could even do it yourself. Thanks for the heads up. Anyone ever do it themselves before? Is it that simple as just filling it up with a few cans? Please excuse my ignorance, I have never done this before.

If you need to refill it,it's probably because you have a leak somewhere.
Should find the leak before.

Looks like someone is not reading. I accidentally loosened the wrong nut and released it.

Your lucky it wasn't freon. You would be blind! Cars don't use freon no more.
