With all this talk of the HKS lately, and after the great dyno charts, does anyone know how much the system weighs? I am trying to decide what system would be the best for autocrossing, meaning I can't lose torque, prefer to gain some torque, and the lighter the better. Apparently the Mugen is lightest without talking about the $2800 Amuse. So what's the weight of the HKS? It looks heavy with that crossover pipe thingy.

Apparently the HKS system weighs about what the stock one does. You are right, the Mugen is expensive. The Spoon and Amuse systems are just too loud for me. I was looking for a good sound and look with no power loss or weight gain, and the HKS is the cost effective way with the group buy.

I've heard 1Randyc's car (Amuse)...it's a little loud for me too. You know right away when he starts the engine, rumble rumble rumble

not much gain in hp or torque based on the dynos compared to stock.
just more sound.

HKS is only a few pounds lighter than stock.
If you want to save weight for racing you can install ;
-Mugen (If you want the stock look)at King Motorsport.
Or a single exhaust:
-Spoon 12.5kg-stock is23kg=save10.5kg,from us
-Amuse 3.8kg ,save 19.2kg,from us at $2.225.00
-J'S RACING CIRCUIT RR 6.3kg,save16.7kg,from us at $1.980.00

The louder HKS than stock allows me to know what the revs are and what the engine is doing without getting the tach into mind's "eye". I read in a msg that Banannie also likes the ability to "listen" to the engine as well; she uses the Comptech.

3.8kg for the Amuse? Holy S**t that's light! I wonder what the dyno charts would look like. Is that $2250 shipped?

I find a 9-lb. exhaust a little bit far fetched.... have you weighed one yourself? I wouldn't buy one without knowing that it was dyno tuned... I am sure Amuse, Spoon and JS Racing have some dyno charts somewhere... anyone?

Someone posted their dyno results using Spoon header/exhaust combo. Although this was not a comparo dyno session, the absolute reults seemed in line with the HKS/stock comparo.

Funcar's report on Spoon dyno in this thread: http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...p?threadid=2952

The Spoon header is not an equal length pipes header like the Mugen.
