That equals about US$ 41,431; AU$ 80,303; JPY 5,097,696

 

In the US the price is $32,840, and taxes will vary in the different states. I am familiar with the Texas tax of 6% bringing the price to $34,810. Registration and licensing adds a little but you can probably be on the road for less than $35,000.

It appears that it is only the high tax burden that makes the car more expensive for you.

 

I paid $33,372 including all taxes, registration... Taxes were about $2200 7.25% Putnam County NY, car was $31,000 including dest, adv fees.

 

The tax here is about $ 15,100
That really sucks...

 

come on peple, those are cheap prices compared to $60k in taiwan, not including sales tax and registration/liscense.

 

last time i checked the price for a s2k in taiwan is like NT$2,500,000 which is about US$73,530... dame with that money i can get 2 s2ks and still have money left to do something with them...

 

I thought my government was ripping me off, but the Taiwanese can do it better

 

its not all taxes. taiwan has a tiny high performance car market thus much higher operation cost for the few s2000 imported each year.
