Default How much does an S2K weigh?

Suppose you had a set of electronic scales as used to set up a race car... Then, suppose you topped off the fuel tank to the top... Then, suppose the car in question (a 2003 AP1 S2000) still had its original Bridgestone's and the car had only 5,500 miles on the odometer...

2500 lbs, 2800 lbs, 3000 lbs? More? Less?

Well, I did just this today with my S2K. I was very pleasantly surprised. Curious? CLICK HERE.

Pretty cool, huh?

That's 100 lbs better than the weight listed on Wikipedia. What's the accuracy on those scales?

I believe the 2864 lbs weight is for the 2008-09 non-CR models. Ap1's are listed at 2800 lbs, but people have had them weighed and have had them close to the weight OP had listed. I'm talking with no mods. Good info, because I was wonder how much my 2003 weighed the other day.

The scales are 100% accurate. The floor on which they were placed is perfectly level and the scales were zeroed prior to placing the car's wheels on them. These scales are placed at each wheel and I have no reason to doubt their accuracy. Wiki is not "perfect" you know. Many mistakes are listed there all the time.

You are saying the OEM hard top weighs 47 pounds? I lifted one before and I did not think it was that heavy.

Not me, Honda. The numbers are from the dealer brochures.

Good to know. I never really knew or actively searched out the weight of mine (2002). I just always had this thought that it was 2900ish, dry, no driver.
