...to have the pitting in your windshield fixed? I just barely noticed last night and its bothering me now. Is this really expensive to have fixed?

Wow, I got an estimate from the dealer for an OEM replacement for $600 installed.

I tried to get this answered myself not too long ago. The consensus seems to be that the windshield needs to be replaced. There are some other suggestions in this post: Sandblasted Windsheild

I have not tried them yet. I think I will wait until I get a crack or chip before replacing. Good Luck.

insurance companies in florida are required to replace the windshield for free. my free windshield cost me 170 dollars because they would not use oem glass so i had to pay the difference. i think the dealership was charging about 500 to 600 for the window and seal without install.

I talked to a service rep at a dealership in Houston this week and he said all of the Japanese made windshields were prone to pitting easily. He also said the aftermarket ones hold up better.Mine also has this condition. It's the most prominent flaw in the whole car.Honda dropped the ball on this item along with the stock radio IMO.Also IMHO this item should be a recall item.If collectively enough owners complained maybe it would be.But...whatcha gonna do.

my new oem windshield is only about a year old and it already has a decent amount of pitting. (i had my last one replaced because the pitting was so bad that it was almost impossible to see through if the sun was glaring through it)
