My car was vandalized last night. THEY did a friggin number one it. I will need a complete restoration of the paint job and a new top. It was also cut into in three sports. Anyone know how much a factory quality paint job and replacement of the covertable top will cost? I want it to be factory quality . anyone had to have this done?? They etched HONDA SUCKS in the hood.. keyed bothe sides and on the deck eteched FORD RULES... and a nice YOU!! I know what car did it.. I burnt a couple rednecks in a blue mustang friday night... they flipped me off so I replyed appropriately.. flipped them back... I saw them fly by my house as I was unlocking my door... I never saw the back of the car, (OF COURSE) they came flying up on me so I dropped a couple gears and put the s2000 boogie on them.. they got pissed... backwoods rednecks.... found a wiskey bottle in the neighbors yard too... They also cut all four SO2's to... cut the top and got my radar detector..... IT"S a bitch... they did a number on my baby... If i see them again... I will put a few chunks of lead in there piece of shit mustang... I will get them.. just a matter of time... It was not a local car.. never seen it before... they will come around again... I'll get um.. but for now.. shes setting in the drive with four flats and a sheet of plastic on her to keep the rain out... I need a general idea o the paint to restore it to NEW condition..

 

According to some of the FL guys, a good quality paint job will be between $4,000 and $5,000. The key word is quality.

Not sure how much a new top will run ya - I'd think at least $2,000.

That sucks to hear about how your car was vandalized. Good luck w/ getting her repaired. Is your insurance going to be taking care of all this for you?

Yes I have insurance Jersey Girl... I am just worried about restoring it to factory/showroom condition and no devalueation of my car. They messed with my BABY... I love my S.....sorry redneck bastards...they better hope I don't see them on the road again......

If I had to get a new paint job, that's what I'd be getting!

 

www.hardtopguy.com for the replacement top. As your frame is still intact, you'd be looking to spend $850.00 or so from hardtopguy for the replacement top. A vinyl/top repair shop should be able to install it for ~ $500 or so. Other folks have already discussed paint...so I'll leave that alone.

Now...if I were you, personally I'd edit out your comments of ill-will towards the mustang. You leave yourself open for any liabilities that might be incurred by that mustang (whether you actually cause them...or those rednecks see your post and decide to do stuff to their own car & then make you take the blame based solely on your comments found here). Take your anger where you may...but don't put it in print. Just my 2 pennies.

Just from hearing that i'm gonna install the top of the line viper alarm system on mines!!!!!

I hope they sell electrically charged wires so i can hook it to my car!
