Default How much should I pay for rebuilt title?

the guy showed me pics of the damage, which seemed to be the exhaust rear bumper, rear passenger wheel, and replacement back axle. it's 2004 sebring with 52k miles. he is willing to trade my 350z. but I'm trying to figure out how much his s2k is worth to see if it's worth trading. the car looks clean. I called my insurance and they said they'd accept it as long as they do a full inspection and see if it meets their standards. what do you guysthink? I plan on keeping the S, so I'm not really worried about resale. hit me up, thanks!!

i use to be a fellow s2k owner but totaled my berlina '03 and got the Z as a replacement, now I want to go back.lol can you blame me

I would sell the 350 and get a clean earlier clean title s.
They're not so rare that this car is your only option.

Im always skeptical of salvage titles.
If this was the only s2000 within thousands of miles sure but that's not the case.

Good luck either way.

Yes, which doesn't tell of any frame analysis. i would definitely have the frame checked out before considering purchasing.

Famous last words. I distinctly remember having this thought (and proclaiming it) with every sports car I've ever bought.

My insurance only insure a salvage vehicle for 60% of blue book, so id go from there. It is worth 60% of blue book.

I've seen a lot of salvaged S2k's asking a lot. I bought a salvage once as my first car and regretted it. Should you decide to buy it, make sure the frame is straight and go over everything with a fine tooth comb.

if youre gonna buy that car, i would take it to a reputable body shop and a mechanic you trust and have them take a look at it.
who in their right mind would tell you if their frame was bent if he was trying to sell you a salvage titled car?

unless you guys are friends, he wouldnt tell you..
as much as it sucks, people rarely do the right thing.

take the car to get checked out but i think youre making a horrible mistake on buying a salvage car when you have other options.
