I realized that I am certifiably obsessed with my S2000 today. I spent about 2 hours washing my car today. That is 2 hours just on washing- no wax because my zaino order just went out today. I spent 5 minutes on each wheel, washing and drying them. When I was done, I realized my final symptom: I put strips of duct tape sticky-side-up on top of the bed sheets that act as a dust cover for my car. The duct tape is a trap for my damn cat. It has actually worked! The cat got on the car once with the duct tape there and has never gotten back on, but I still put it on just incase. What kind of over-the-top things do you do for your car?

Uhm....I clean my engine with a toothbrush. Not just every now and then, but ALL the time. I mean like all day if I'm not busy I'll be out there cleaning it up a little. I have 5 different brushes I use when I wash my car. One for the engine, one for the tires, one for the car itself, one for the wheels, and one for the top. I polish my exhaust tips every time I wash the car and then some. I ArmoreAll (sp?) the inside of the wheel wells. I polish my headlights every other time I wash it. I deep clean the top every other time I wash it...uhm.........Oh god I'm not even gonna get into the interior. I've got 6 different bottles of stuff I use in there EVERY time I wash the car

I stopped drinking for my car. Really! This is a cure for the blues and boredom, plus think of all the money I save to pay for a more expensive car to operate

I spend hours each week in the garage planning for my 105K mile spark plug and coolant change (my car has 1400 mi) and maintaining my maintenance free battery.

One of the things I do, every time I wash my S2000 is clean the inside of the
exhaust tips! As far as I can reach my fingers with a damp cloth!

I'm there brothers... I'm there.

The hours washing, the exhaust tips... I'm there.

Oh boy. . .this is gonna get ugly. . .

Nearly everytime I wash my S2000, I take the rims completely off the car and wash the inside of the rims and wheel wells. I usually somewhat crawl underneath the car and wash the frame assembly and so on as well!

The rear exhaust tips come off with a 10mm socket and I do this (again, nearly everytime) and wash them and polish them.

I have even taken my headlight and tailight assemblies off the car to wash around it.

Last Sunday, I washed my car so long that a little boy came up to my house in the morning and asked if I wanted my grass cut (meanwhile my yard was perfect, I had just mowed it the day before) LOL! That was probably around 10am. At around 4pm, he was totally shocked that I was *still* washing my S2000! I could hear him yelling at his mother that I was washing my car the whole day!

Of course, I did *everything* to my S2000. Plus, I did manage to wash my wife's Accord in the interim (waiting for Z1 to cure before applying Z2)!

So, yeah. . .I'm a bit obsessed. But the first sign of recovery is admitting you have a problem!

Well my friend today told me that I have been sitting too long too much too often on surfing pics and specs and mods for the s2k, that he think I have been more obsessed over my new coming s2k, than I ever did with any girl friend he have seen me with. Glad I don' t have a gf right now, or else i bet she'll be one jealous gurl.

I wonder what'll happen when I get my car!!

p.s. My car just came in, TODAY, it's in the dealership..... now i just have to find a way to get it from their (40km) away to my house, without the knowledge of how to drive a stick..
