I't should be interesting to find out if the rest of you are using your covertable top covers.

The new one (after the recall early last year) is still in the plastic.

4-5 times (maybe) in the nearly 19 months I've had the car.

I put mine on when I think there's a good chance it'll stay sunny for at least a few days. When rain is more likely, I like to be able to put the top up at a stop light (which I have done several times). I even put the top up on the freeway once!

But the car looks much better with the top cover on. Where are the replacement top covers that were in the works?

I installed mine this past weekend for the second time I have had the car. It was a huge pain, because I store it in the trunk and I think it was warped a bit. The only saving grace for this weekend is we have a lot of seeds blowing around, and my car was full of seeds. The boot cover helped the seeds from not getting into the well. The car looks just as good without the boot cover.

Nearly all the time that the top is down, the boot is on. It looks cleaner and protects the top. It is quick and easy after using it a few times, so why not do it?
