what about when its down and the top is up? whats the benefit of it down? its not in the way when i look through the rear view.

i just leave mine up never goes down with the top up or down.

damn I've owned my car for a year now and never knew the piece even moved. It was a pain in the ass to clean the rear tray with the windscreen in the up position, it might have been easier if I knew that it moved, lmao.

I also notice no benefit to having the wind deflector up. No change in wind sound, buffeting or wind getting to my hair. Maybe it works for tall drivers? I'm only 5'8".
