How to replace wheel bolts?
So I have a 2000 and I am the second owner. When i took it to get new tires put on few months ago the shop showed me that my left front passenger wheel is not made correctly. The opening on the wheel where the center cap goes is not milled out enough on the back side. Therefore it will not seat onto the hub as it should. In order to get it tight you really have to torque the lug nuts down and there is still a gap between the back of the wheel and the hub. None of the other wheels are like this. Last night i was turning around in the drive way and one of my lug bolts broke into. Honda says that its four years old and not under warranty and since i am the 2nd owner then it could have been wrecked. Wrecked or not( not) the wheel is still made wrong. I am now attempteing to replace the wheel bolt and and dont know how to get the broken one out or the new one in. I have the wheel and brakes and rotor off but not sure where to go from here. Can someone help me?
I suspect your wheel is fine - you're simply trying to put a REAR wheel on the FRONT. Double-check the size of the wheel - some ignorant person at a tire shop might have mounted a front tire on a rear wheel.

Isn't there a post stucking out of the hub that has to fit in a slot in the wheel? Maybe the wheel is just not on the hub.

Hmm. I've swapped wheels a LOT, and have never noticed any such thing.
You think any shop would be foolish enough to mistake the front and rears? Seems nearly impossible to me.
you have to pull the spindle assembly out and have your wheel hub pressed out in order to change the wheel studs.. taking the assembly out is not so hard, but expect to pay somewhere between $30-$50 to have your hub pulled out and have the studs replace and reinstall the hub..
Hehe, no, not impossible. One owner showed up for the caravan to Austin for S2K Days '03 with rear wheels on the front. I and other owners have been told several times by service advisors that they'll go ahead and rotate our tires for us during the scheduled services.
Trust me, it's not impossible.

BINGO!
The world at large never ceases to amaze me!! For god's sake, manufacturers have been staggering front/wheel sizes since the 80s, I think!!
I really shouldn't talk, though. I dropped my wife's car on the pavement once because I forgot to tighten the lug nuts.
