This is my first post here on the forum, so please bare with me! I currently own a stage 3 WRX. My roomate is getting is 2001 S2000 tommorow. So he asked me to find out what cars it could match pretty well with. He plans on keeping it Stock for a while. Now From a Roll, which of these cars can it beat? Which can it not? Feel free to add a few cars that arent on the list (the list is from him). Thanks alot! Cant wait to drive it

1) G35

2) 350z

3) RSX Type S

4) Celica GT-S (coming from this car, he was wondering how it compared)

5) SRT-4

6) Mazda Turbo Protege

7) GTI

8) Mustang GT (new and previous styles)

9) Camaro Z28 or SS

from say a 40mph roll, given equal drivers (cars stock):

G35 would lose

350Z tie

Type S would lose

GT-S would lose

SRT4 would lose

Protege would lose

GTI would lose

Mustang GT would lose

NEW Mustang GT would be close or the GT would win

Camaro Z28/SS would win if they are LS1. tie if LT1.

The s2k seems pretty quick for stock then! Sounds good, cant wait to drive it

 

in the proper hands, yes, it can be i guess "fast" in a straight line for a stock 4 banger. while it's true prowess is handling such as road course or auto-x, its straight line speed is nothing to scoff at as far as roadsters go.

 

It depends on what fast is. If you think 14flat at just over 100 is you'll enjoy it. IMHO the only mods that make power are N20 or Blower and both will takes it toll on any reliability. No Turbos here for cheap power.

Out of the cars you list the S takes most of them. I enjoy showing the mustangs they aren't the s%#$@ As for the Slomaro's... the LS1's dont just win, they CRUSH the S !!
