Default How Stuff works - S2000 top

Was looking around the web and found this:

http://www.howstuffworks.com/convertible.htm

Seems that "How Stuff Works" likes the S enough to use it as an example of how a convertable top works. Look through the pages. On one page you will find a neat demo of how our top goes up and down! Cool!

Nice find!

Isn't the S2000 roof the quickest power convertible roof? What better to use as an example

Truth, this weekend was the first time I put the top down, really. I found out that if the windows are up that they automatically roll down. You can also push the top down switch forward and it will roll the windows down. I though this was kinda neat.

By the way, I don't want to put the top back up now. It's kinda like riding a motorcycle. Only thing is I keep wanting to open the door and drag my knee on fast corners!

Interestingly, the article mentions that the roof on the s2k is cloth. If I am not mistaken, the roof is vinyl is it not?

That's pretty cool. I wonder who's S2K they used.

The roof is definitely VINYL.

I have to go and try to roll down the windows by pushing the top down button forward now, thanks

I would think doing that would stress the convertabile top motor. I won't be doing this little trick in my s.
