I purchased a used MY2000, which I can't tell if it's a Sebring or the Silverstone. I purchased some front license plate plugs from HandA accessories, which totally do not match the rest of the car. The plugs came lighter than the paint, and I guess I ordered the sebring. Maybe HandA made a goof and gave me some lighter non s2000 color plug?

Anyone know a sure way of knowing, maybe plugging in the VIN into a magical computer for a definate answer.

 

MY '00 and '01 are Silverstone, you probably ordered the Sebring plugs.
Of course, MY '03 will be Silverstone again.
Silverstone is like metallic grey, Sebring is bright silver.
I'd say look for the glass back window, but who drives with the top up??

 

If you have a MY 2000 it is a Silverstone Metallic. Only 2002 so far has Sebring Silver. Sebring is a lighter color silver that Silverstone. My guess is that you have ordered Sebring plugs for the license plate holes. Maybe you should call and get them exchanged.

 

HandA will usually take such an exchange w/o too much issue. Your MY2000 is definitely Silverstone though...the better silver in my opinion...slightly biased as I may be. <grin>
