Default How to Turn VGA Off?

Okay so i don't actually own an 06 S but and older guy at work owns one and he let me take it out the other night for me and my girls one year aniversary.... while i was driving it i noticed that when i tried to launch it would bog down and very rarely spin tires and never catch second after getting on the internet i now realize that it has traction control so i was wondering if someone could please tell me where the button is to turn it off.... thanks guys

Sure I encourage people to redline my car when they drive it, but not blow up my diff from doing stoplight racing.

There is a big difference. Sure the car is meant to be driven hard, but not from a stop.

I agree, launch and redline are quite different, especially with this car. You should know what you are doing.

Make sure you thank your boss - again. There is an actual button on the dash to disable the VSA, if that is what you meant. It is just to the right of the steering wheel.

Another thing, how are you a registered owner on this site if you don't have a car?????

So few people undestand you can safely rev the car, but thats not what he's asking about.

Turning off the bandaids in this case is a bad idea, between risking blowing/damaging his friends diff or if he's not familiar w/ the handling the -last- thing he should doing is turning of the traction control. It could keep his friend's car out of a tree or telephone pole.

Okay guys sorry about the confusion i wasn't trying to abuse his car or anything i just knew something was a miss when the engine was bogged down when it shouldn't be..... i know the guy well and when he let me borrow it he told me to have fun with it.... so i didn't abuse his car and when i returned it instead of having less than a half of a tank of gas like it had i filled it all the up for him..... just know that i wasn't trying to abuse his car.... i myself drive a 1998 328is i was just wanting to compare my car with his power wise

yeah 10 gallons of gas makes up for blowing his diff.
