How & What do you do, to mount your Cell Phone?

I have a Pixel 2 and use a Mod-3 vent clip with a 3D printed Mod-3 alt style phone case (Mod-3 only make phone cases for iPhones and I used to own an iPhone but switched off and still wanted to use the Mod-3 magnetic mounting system)

I have a similar setup with my Pixel (Though I don't use a case) - Does your phone make contact with the plastic vent bezel trim/dash? Mine does slightly and I am concerned that it will lead to scratches and wear.

My case makes contact with the bezel and there is a some scratches on it. It would clear if I didn't have a case and just had a magnet on the back of my phone

Has anyone put a Qi charger into the the modifry dash mount?
Similar to what this guy did but for the dash one? Also assuming there's probably way more options out now as well too

I have almost that exact solution in my Jeep, QI connected to a clamp holder/charger that is connected to a RAM mount on my A Pillar. It works great and the phone can be inserted or removed with one hand as I get in/out of the Jeep.
For the S2000, over the summer I was using the XVida system. I liked it a lot but then I upgraded my phone and they upgraded their system. It'd be around $170 to replace home/S2000/Jeep stuff. Still might do it because it really was excellent. I just stuck the XVida unit to the Modifry mount using strong clear packing tape. VERY minimalist looking setup and it worked great. But I didn't like having to use their case (though it was slim and worked fine). my old phone didn't have built in wireless charging and my new one does, making me more reluctant to use their system.
Worth looking at XVida, even if it's just for ideas.
