Default How wide can you go?

Okay, I have to get new tires (all four) again, and have decided to get the S03's (winter is coming up and I'm hoping they last longer than S02's.)

Since the contact patch is going to be smaller than the S02's, I kinda want to get some wider tires. I also think a wider tire will look more aggressive. However, having searched the history looking for tires sizes, etc, I am now totally confused.

What size S03 can I put on the front and what size on the back to get the greatest width, while keeping the radius the same and avoiding rubbing?

Thanks in advance for the help.

With the stock wheels the widest I was told by the tire shops were 245/45/16 rears and 225/45/16 front. I have since changed my wheels to 18" GT-N

I believe 225/50-16 is the closest nominal diameter to the stock fronts. I'd be intrigued to try the 45s though, if my AVS Sports came in that size.
