Just took my Yellow 06 out of hibernation with top down at 55 degrees. I was a bit chilly driving 80mph on highway, but well worth it. Just needs inspection and an oil change and she's good to go.

Great, just arguing with the wife to let me take $10K out of our savings for an S2K. To all those who are single and planning to get married, don't do it!!!

As cool as they seem before the wedding, it all changes. I may not win this battle and I will be relegated to my DD 04 accord for the summer/foreseeable future.

Other than that, I'm flipping fantastic.

Took me a while to understand this sentence but I got it now...

Me broke = S2000 sits in the driveway. Yeap, pretty much sums it up for me.

Same position, but it's getting harder to walk past my 04 with the days getting warmer and longer! That said, I'm not in a hurry to sandblast anything, so she'll stay in storage for another month or so until the road clear. Only 12K on the odometer, but it might be double by the end of this season!

I'm driving my 04 Accord now: it's a great car! Fortunately for me, my wife encouraged me to buy a boat (which I passed on because of the ongoing maintenance and expense), so getting my S2000 was a snap! Don't worry: they warm up to us eventually and let us get some of the things we dream of! I told mine that if she needs anything, say a Coolatta, I'm her errand boy!! See if that works and good luck!!

Last month I got my new tires, which were desperately needed. The car is smoother, and the noise reduction on the freeway was much needed. I hated the tire roar between 50 mph and up. I also changed my oil my self, and saved some money. Was easy too, I don't know why people pay to have someone do it, its so easy. And currently thinking about repainting the bottom edge of my front bumper. But part of me thinks I should get a front lip to cover it up.

Taking her out of the garage in a month (we've been getting abnormal amounts of rain in the northwest thus far) and flushing the coolant, trans, diff, and clutch fluid and doing an oil change and then we're good to go.

oh and taking off the hardtop...

My grandfather, a wise man, advised me to always keep money out of the marriage. When my wife and I got married we kept all our money 100% separate. We split everything right down the middle (mortgage, food, cable, etc.). She has her own car that she picked out that she pays for. I have my cars that I love that I pay for. If she wants something better then she can buy it, save for it, or get a better job. It's work for us and we have been together for 10 years.

As with my S, I had her out for the 3rd of 4th time of the spring. But today was special because the top was down!

I made some progress tonight with the wife. She is warming up to the idea, she just needs a looooooooong time to make any decision. I showed her your post and she cracked up with the errand boy comment. Soon I hope to be able to make a comment about some top down fun too!

Anyway, I love my Accord sedan too, its automatic, quiet, roomy, paid for and never once does anything except start every morning and require next to nothing.
