So its not an issue,
I have a buddy who has over 90,000 miles of spirited driving on his MY00 S and always tells me that it gets better and better with every mile. He does make sure to stay ahead of all the normal upkeep. He could afford a new one if he wanted, but he does not want the give up his old friend. He is a guy who loves his car, his other car is a Mercedes S500. Keep on

Still running strong. 76,xxx miles after nearly five years of ownership. Plenty of autocrosses and track days, and a couple 5000 mile road trips.
The car is as bullet proof as the Honda reputation says it should be.

I sure hope it lasts forever. Everytime I get done with an auto-x or track event I feel even more lucky to be driving this car. I want to be one of those guys with his car he's had forever and the leather seats are all cracking and stuff. It's like a classic to me.
My '02 has 63k miles on it and is doing fine. My only complaint would be the transmission. 2nd gear is very notchy and has a predisposition to grind when the car is cold, although that goes away once the car warms up. Everything else has been dandy.
