I have a buddy who has over 90,000 miles of spirited driving on his MY00 S and always tells me that it gets better and better with every mile. He does make sure to stay ahead of all the normal upkeep. He could afford a new one if he wanted, but he does not want the give up his old friend. He is a guy who loves his car, his other car is a Mercedes S500. Keep on .

Still running strong. 76,xxx miles after nearly five years of ownership. Plenty of autocrosses and track days, and a couple 5000 mile road trips.

The car is as bullet proof as the Honda reputation says it should be.

I'm also mucho interested in this as I have to decide soon whether to change my perfectly good 3 year old 30,000 mile example for a new one (

I sure hope it lasts forever. Everytime I get done with an auto-x or track event I feel even more lucky to be driving this car. I want to be one of those guys with his car he's had forever and the leather seats are all cracking and stuff. It's like a classic to me.

There are at least two that I know of that are moving AWAY from 100,000mi (and one has a supercharger on it) so I think as long as you take care if it, it will take care of you.

My '02 has 63k miles on it and is doing fine. My only complaint would be the transmission. 2nd gear is very notchy and has a predisposition to grind when the car is cold, although that goes away once the car warms up. Everything else has been dandy.
