Default Hunch Rack vs Saris Bones vs Hollywood

I've been researching this all week. I have come across dozens of posts regarding bike racks in general. Many of those suggest a trailer hitch setup which I understand and agree with, however, I really am not in a position to drop what would seem to be a good $500 just to carry our bikes every now and then.

That said, I've seen glowing posts from a few who have used the Saris Bones rack & the Hollywood rack touting with caution no damage to the car. I have found a different style rack called a "Hunchrack" that mounts the bikes way up on top of the trunk facing front to back that I have seen no comments on, has anyone here used it?

Delta Hunchrack

This is intended to carry 2 road bikes by the way

Thanks, Travis

PS just to add a little info and possibly save some folks some time, I do have a beater pickup that I haul them in regularly but I refuse to drive it a few hours on a planned trip we have coming up

I'm surprised nobody responded. I too have the occasional need to carry one bike but don't want to go so far as spending $500+ another $200 for a hitch mounted rack. I'd only need it once in a great while.

Anyone use the deltacycle rack?

FWIW, I paid $140 for a used hitch and mounted it myself. My 2-bike Hollywood fork mount rack was $70 off ebay. New, I thought the hitches were about $200. I'll sell the rack if I ever sell the car, so my net cost is low. It is very nice to be able to open the trunk with the bikes mounted.

A side note, the steering becomes noticeable lighter when I have two bikes installed and the trunk loaded with gear.
