Default ? on hyper white bulbs for high beams.

After owning a 2002 model for a little over a week now and having driven it every now and then at night, I have found that the high beam bulbs Honda has for the S2000 seam a little underpowered compared to the projector lights as the low beams. Okay, so call me spoiled or such, but I like the look and brightness of the aftermarket HID bulbs much better than stock just the same as the other guy.
So here's my question:

If I were to install oh say...Polarg or Nokya 100 or 110 watt hyper white bulbs to replace the factory high beam bulbs, is there any chance of perhaps melting the headlight lenses as usually these bulbs have 2 power ratings (low to high beams)?

I knew I saw this ad in the newest issue of Super Street that had these new Polarg bulbs that were rated at 150 watts with no higher wattage rating to them. I wonder if they were specifically made for the S2000 or other high beam, non- hyper white bulbs?

Thanks for your help in this. I want brighter light at night soon.

Since the search is pretty much useless right now. This is the best I could find to answer my question... too bad its not answered!

Anyways, I'm looking to upgrade my H1 bulbs to some "rally" yellow 100watt bulbs to help out on the back roads to my house... should I be concerned with damaging anything? wires, housings, etc..

thanks

Stock H1s are rated at 55watts, just to add some facts. I've tried using 55watts H1s at 5000K and 7500K. They're all yellowish. The 5000K was the least yellow and had a blue hue in hi-beam mode. The 7500K was extremely dim as DRLs and hi-beams.

Wow! I can't remember when I wrote this thread but its back from the dead it seems.

In a nutshell, I have replaced the "bluish" H1 bulbs and reinstalled the OEM bulbs years ago.

I had some bad luck on my 240SX with running a pair of Nokya H4 bulbs and after a good afternoon of keeping the headlights on, they eventually started to melt the wiring at the base of the headlight because they run higher.

Sooo, after fixing that issue, I decided to pull the H1's from the S2k in case that ever happened again.

Be careful. 100W bulbs can melt housings, wiring, clips, and caps.

Thanks for the warning.

But have you ever heard of anybody with a s2000 running 100w bulbs having these issues? I have read through a few threads including the one I linked above with people saying they have had no problems what so ever running these for years.
