HyTech needs motor for R&D
I have been developing parts fot the RSX K series motors over the last year. Because it is very close to the S2000 motor we have gone ahead and designed parts for it. But we need an engine to put on the engine dyno to finish off our R&D work. We use the engine dyno because we can do a lot more testing under great conditions. We will be producing a kit that comes with cams, header, ITB's, ECU and a few other little things. So Hytech needs a motor to finish off the development. The motor will be returned as we receieve it plus with the added parts mentioned above at 1/2 off. We will need it for about 2 to 3 months to make sure we get everything done. We feel we can increase the power about another 100. HP. Our 2 liter RSX in mild street form makes 265 to the wheels. And was the cover feature in Honda Tuning Nov issue. You can contact me at

Oh man oh man...Its unfortunate my S2k is my daily driver. Someone do this quickly! I've been waiting for hitech to produce something for the S2k
.
hitexhex: Are you guys planning to release a bolt on kit without messing with the internals of the engine? I'd be extremely interested in a I/H/E kit. Also, what are you guys using to the tune the motor? EMS?

Yeah wow, you get my motor for 2 to 3 months and all I get is half off? You must be joking. Seems to me that you might benefit from having one of your own. The fact that you do not have the funds to "invest" in yourselves is a bit weird. Why don't you just buy a crate motor?

Seriously though, it would probably be cheaper to buy a used S2000 engine (I've seen them sell for as low as $2500) then to sell everything at half off. I mean full retail value on one set of items will probably net you the cost of the used engine.
...not to mention the fact that you could probably sell the newly modded engine for the purchase price plus component cost. You lose no money in the long run and can play with the engine as long as necessary.
