Salt?...Oh!yes! applied liberaly around here. A small detail early Honda's did not take into account. They had a tendency to have a few extra air vents as the years wore on.

Fortunatly Honda learned their lesson. The newer cars hold up quite well.

Speaking of which, on the way home yesterday another S2000 (silver too) got on the onramp in Marin County and we were cruising a bit together for a mile or two till he got off again.

We only got it up around 90 or so since it was raining pretty heavily... it sounded like he had an aftermarket exhaust unless the stocker is *that* noisey outside. Is it a board member?

-loki,
the S2000 *is* his beater/rain car

Does anyone have any pics? I didn't think there'd be so many people who drive their S2ks all year.

Hey, Miles. I know I drive my S2K in the winter. It is equiped with Blizzak snow tire. It was a perfect weather for it last Monday. 12 inches of snow here in Ann Arbor. Still driving my car in the snow. My philosophy is that if the car is not broken, why not drive it. and, I only wash my car when there is snow on the ground. Gotta wash off the salt on the car.

Only if I have a picture of it on Monday. You guys won't believe how deep is the snow when I was on my driveway.

It doesn't take long for salt to dirty a black car. She probably washed it that morning. I have an old pick up to drive on inclement days . definately no fun but easier on a nice car.

Stealthy,

I live in Grand Rapids, just a few hours drive away from you. I think we got the same blizzard you did. My picture is from Monday.

Hey, Miles. Do you go to Grattan often?

I am a frequent visitor to Waterford Raceway. During the summer, I go there at least twice a month. Who did you go with? I always go with Porsche club and Shelby Club. If you went to their track days, we must have met.

I am the one of three black 3 series BMW that are always there.

I love my car so much that I could not bear to be without it even during the winter!

That, coupled with economic limitations, keeps me from getting a second car.

It is nicely equipped with Nokian Snow tires, and gets plenty of hand washing to keep the salt off.
