I blame S2KI
Soooo, I just bought my SECOND S2k today (Sebring silver 2003) I have a 2000 s2k (silverstone) as well. My wife says, "WTF"? I said, "S2ki got me addicted"!
I guess it's better than Crack!! LOL!
Seriously guys, This Forum rocks! Tons of info for the S2K lovers! Thanks for the support.

Thank you! Yes, I have done my homework and held out for the 2003 S2K. took me a little over a year to find it! Worth the wait though. It's a little rough around the edges but it's going to be my street/track car. 168000 miles on the ticker. got it for 6K. Should suffice I presume.

Congrats on the new to you 2003.
As far as forum participation goes, I'd chalk up the decline in activity to a few things...
Some of it is likely due to the fact that the car is no longer being made. Few purchases can match the thrill of buying a brand new car (at least as best I can remember as it's been a while for me, lol) and that feeling creates a lot of enthusiasm for the buyer. That enthusiasm in turn drives people to places like this forum. Forums dedicated to a new model car or motorcycle for example grow very quickly when the vehicle is first released or early on in production. I'm incredibly excited to have obtained a nice used example of this car, but overall guys today buying used S2000s probably aren't quite as fired up as guys were back when they were driving them fresh off of the dealers lot.
Some of this also probably has to do with the decreased popularity of internet forums in general. People have a lot of options now as far as social media is concerned and when people choose to communicate via those other options, it leaves less time for places like this.
If S2000 prices continue to increase and it becomes more of a challenge to find what you are looking for, then enthusiasm for those resulting purchases might increase as well. With that in mind I think it will be interesting to see if there is an uptick in activity here over the next few years.
I like forums and I run one of my own. I don't know if this will make much sense, but I'm having fun being just a "regular member" for a change. I'll admit that I sometimes feel like I'm just rehashing the same old stuff that many of you guys discussed long ago so I try to temper my enthusiasm at times. Still, I've found this place to be a great source of helpful information. For example, I just recently learned about the Axle Nut TSB via this site and addressed that issue last week. Old hat for many here of course, but I feel relieved knowing that there is one less thing that I now need to address or worry about.

I had no idea that the forum has become slow. That said, I'm part of the problem as I'm not around much. The Infiniti forum I'm on *for my other car) is even worse, by a lot.
OP, congrats on the purchase. I love my 03, although I just posted it for sale lol.
