Ha-ha. I thought about it but I just couldn't do it over a car. I might kick him out though...he is living with me right now...maybe not for long.

I feel for you man. Hard enough to deal with your S being mauled, much less by your brother!
But what can you do? Not much.
Hard feelings will eventually do more damage than the wreck though. Work through the anger, forgive him, and walk away. Consider it a lesson well learned. Actually two lessons learned:

Now you know how your brother is willing to treat one of your most prized possessions.
Now you know why you don't let other people drive one of your most prized possessions.

You loaned him the car, did you really think he wouldn't try to enjoy the pleasures of VTEC?
In the other shoe, could you have resisted? It's unfortunate he didn't have the skill to master the situation but I'm glad to hear he'll get the chance to learn from the experience.

meloman, I am so sad to see those pix. I remember seeing you at the Wine Tasting meet last spring and you had just gotten your hardtop.

Keep us posted on what the damages are. I am always just blown away at how well people's cars get fixed, so maybe either (1) it will be bent enough to be totalled, and you can get a new one, or (2) they'll fix it perfectly.

My thoughts are with you.

Kathy

Yeah, that Wine Tasting meet was when I had just gotten the hardtop. I had not used the top in a while, so a couple of weeks ago I decided to put it back on the car. Go figure !

Hate to say this but from what I see ( not counting frame damage) the car is not totaled. I use to be an adjuster for GEICO and it looks alot worse than the total damage. Have the body shop put some extra dents around all the panels, lights etc. and then you may have some case . It takes alot of damage to total out a $33,000 car.

Sad to see this happen

Just hope your S is considered Totaled... Looking at that Red Ford and the S... that is one strong S lucky your brother walked away, can't even see the trunk anymore .
I think Honda should consider installing side airbags.

Wish you the best with everything.

How old is your brother?

My brother is going to be 23 in June. My brother is very fortunate to have walked away from this one unharmed.

Legendzzz, pm sent.
