Seriously guys. I keep telling myself that when I drive my stook that I am not going to VTEC it anymore. However everytime I see a opening, I VTEC it and love it. It is even more fun to take it to 9000 and then shift. I really need to stop this!

Is there some type of class I can go to like "Just say no to VTEC?"

Now follow me Dean.

Squeeze that gas pedal nice and easy now. Watch that tacho closely - when it gets to 5800 revs - no more now - quickly change to the next higher gear.

Follow these simple rules every day and you are guaranteed freedom from VTECitis.

BTW, should the problem recur you can always trade the Stook for some lesser vehicle (like a Porsche Boxster) - they don't have such exclusive features!

It's been posted here a few times before. The disease is called prematurevteculation. Not as embarrassing if you're caught--- just costs more.

Instead of classes, you could join a local VTEC support group. Try going to the VA (VTEC Anonymous) meetings.

actually, premature vtechulation refers to the sorry condition of being unable to hold on for the first 600miles of non-vtech foreplay without taking the engine past 6000 revs

i think the condition being refered to here is the well known state called vtechomania, and it not a disease at all, but perfectly normal!

Or... as mingster so rudely found out... VTECing before the car is warmed up.

2kturkey,

Shouldn't that be "To VTEC, or not to VTEC, that is the question"?
