feel the pain dude. i entered a rotary a few weeks back and stepped on the gas a little bit around the turn and the whole back end kicked out and car did a 720 and I ended up on the middle of an island. the car has been in the shop for the past three weeks and i finally just got it back yesterday. never had a problem before that and I have driven in heavy snow storms and that day it was sunny out.

Would you guys stop raising insurance rates for the rest of us?

Just kidding. Sorry to hear about the accident. It doesn't look too bad (except for that pink airbag).

I'm glad to know you're ok. Just thank God for that!
As for the car, it looks like you need a left fender, front bumper + grill, hood, and bags. I'd say $2500 with the bags. I hope it works out for you.

Sorry to hear about the car. I know exactly how you feels. A SUV backed into my S on Nov of last year. But that's not the worst yet. I got my S back on Sat and I TOTALED my 94-Rx7 on Sunday night. $18000 worth of damages (HIT and RUN). Like Greg said in earlier post. BODYWERKS is a very good body shop. I got my S back from Larry and it's good as new. my Rx-7 is still in there shop at this moment (2.5 months already). HEY! look on the bright-side. You're still walking.

Nervous back end. No question about that. Most of us had that experience at the begining. I belong to the lucky group that could catch it before the car spun. Good to know that you and your S are Ok. High performance driving classes are a must for this car's owners. I'll be taking one this spring.

(also from Milwaukee)

Sounds like cold tires to me... Apart from staying on the gas and drifting through it, which is really (mentally) difficult to do, pushing in the clutch was a good bet.

Try Marshall Autobody in Waukesha, I've sent a few people there with fairly good results, including a number of NSX's.

Snap Oversteer.

Looks like a total right off to me. Sell me the seats?

J/K! Get well soon!

On a direct frontal inmact, the bags deploy at 55kph (34mph) so you must have had more than 40mph forward speed, because all that spinning would have used up a lot of energy.

Anyway, yes --- the car does a super job of protecting it's owners. Good luck and don't worry --- it'll be good as new and just fine.
