The crappy sun visors have been improved oh so slightly. The 2001s have a small plastic dimple, presumably to grasp with your fingers when you want to adjust the thing. And the felt-like material on the back is slightly better, very slightly.

Not much of an improvement.

But who cares? I put 50 miles on my new one today, 50 miles of pure driving pleasure. I can live with the sun visors.

Hello Rick

How about a leather (suede or combo) visor cover? One with a velcro strapped pocket for radar detectors, a tubie pen holder, a velcro strapped pocket for the garage door opener, sunglass holder, embedded mirror ... I'd buy a pair of those.

What do you all think?

Hmm that sounds like it could be cool. Meanwhile, I went to the hobby store and bought a roll of adhesive velcro. You'd be amazed at how many of the things you mentioned can be fixed up real quick with this stuff!

Comes in handy when passing through sheep country and you don't have a date?! Sorry, couldn't resist this one...

Hi Song

I've been using Velcro to stick my stuff since I got my car. Very handy, but not as pretty.

The only problem I've found with velcro tape is how it melts in the Texas heat like a beauty queen's makeup. Every time I came back to my car during the summer I foud velcroed stuff laying in the floor, especially my garage door opener.

We're working on leather sun visor covers, but they won't be available until after the new year. They'll have pockets, a better mirror, etc.
