You weren't missing out on much. Two compartments that are awkward as hell to access and nearly impossible while driving.
I have no problem getting in to the "secret compartment" while driving, I'm forever taking things out and putting them back in while on the road.

+1, I have no issues with either compartment. My iPod is plugged into the more shallow of the two and I can unplug it and plug it back in with one hand.

There are people who don't read the manual and find out too late that the "oil light" isn't there to tell you when you're low on oil....

I read it on work breaks and finished it within a week of owning the car.

LOL i didnt know about the secret compartment for almost a year. i saw my friend open his and i asked him, where he got that mod? his answer was suspicious so i went out to my car and said what the f**k?!

i bought my car brand new. i wanted to read the owners manual but i couldn't find it. i asked the salesman where did they put it and he went and asked and no one knew. they ordered me a different one. i dont know, after i found out about the secret compartment, i thought if-y about that honda dealership.
