I don't like my S2000 what's wrong with me?
I've had my S for almost 2 months now and I still don't feel the connection I was expecting. it's my daily driver and I occasionally drive it on mountain roads. there are no tracks in my country to enjoy the car at its fullest. my problem is that I don't get the feedback I had from my MX5. it could also be that knocking sound (everytime I accelerate or decelerate or change gear) not letting me enjoy it.
help me out people I'm so confused!!

I believe it was C&D who said something along the lines of, 'if it's not the most fun you've had behind the wheel then you're not driving it hard enough.'
But if there's something knocking you need to get that fixed. The S should run like a top.

I suspect it's a problem between the seat and wheel.
The car gives a lot of feedback.
If you have mechanic problems get those fixed. Also try hitting up a local autox event to drive the car at the limits.
I think you'll find that this car is a lot more car than an mx5; in every way.

I do rev it to 9k and I do spirited mountain drives, although not at the maximum cos I'm still scared of it but as I said there are no tracks or autox events or anything remotely close in my country. I am getting 17" Volks hoping that'll help and see how it goes from there.

drive the car. drive it to the limit. drive it like you stole it. make the tires screech and hear the engine roar at 9k. if you still can't smile after that, buy a motorcycle.
Maybe you're just not a car person, or at least not a sports car person, or more of an American muscle person.
That's about the only explanation I can provide to someone that doesn't like a S2000. I've had mine for almost five years and love every second of it.

More cowbell!
Seriously though, if there is a mechanical issue that will cloud your enjoyment of the car. Get that noise fixed, something could be seriously wrong and the car may have been running in limp mode all this time.
