Default I drive an S2K for the first time

Ok so I have a 99 M3 which is a great performance car, handles well, accelerates well etc, so I was really excited to drive the S2k for the first time, and also compare to it to the M. I actually got to drive mattf87

That's basically how my first drive went, slipped into the cockpit, impressed by teh brutal efficiency and simplicity of the interior.
Turned on the car, let the clutch out, drove it out the lot and gunned it. One pull to 9k in second gear was all I needed, I was hooked.
The most impressive feature, imo, of this car is how you bond so quickly to the car, driving it around it;s almost boring since the car is so damn easy to drive, you think it and it does it. But then you realize how much higher the capabilities of this car are and thus skill involved it takes to drive this car at its limits.
Don't be a sap, I know it, youi know it, M3s are great cars, but sounds to be you're going through what I went through after I test drove it the first time, you're going to search for that same experience only to realize there's no substitute for it, get the real thing. At this point, M3=trade in .

stock 1st gen miata shifter is shorter.

I did notice a mild amount of body roll on my test drive during rapid transitions, but I'm used to driving pretty insane cars.

Glad you enjoyed buddy...will have to hit up some nice twisties next time. I thoroughly enjoyed driving the M3 also...it was really interesting to feel an engine with roughly the same horsepower but with larger discplacement and a completely different torque curve. The thing has sooooo much torque! it just pulls so hard especially down low...it just initially felt like a much more powerful engine. Thats what impressed me the most. When it comes to handling i think this is one of the better handling cars for its weight class on the road today. Overall, the M3 just feels like a sharply honed tool just like the s2000 but with a different purpose in mind.

Question for the 2 testdrivers involved:

Would you want to swap cars forever?

I think one of them would
