I've been shopping a 2-seater for a while. Spent a lot of time waiting for the Z to get its quality control act together. After 2 years, it still hasn't. I hadn't considered an S2000 because, at $30k+, it was a bit more than I wanted to spend. But I found a really nice '02 with low mileage (12,600). I'd test driven an '01 but found the engine buzzy. Was a little hesitant to buy it but when I drove the '02 I was sold within 1/2 mile of leaving the lot on the test drive. What a car! I simply don't want to get out of it!

I just hope this feeling lasts through the last payment.

The feeling will last beyond the last payment.. I just got mine back from a pretty stout accident (did I mention they are REALLY SAFE?) I still feel like a kid in a candy store everytime i drive it.

i don't think i can keep mine under 75... every where I go, i catch myself going 3 times the speed limit

We just did the same thing! Used 02' S2000 with less than 20K miles. My girlfriend was sold on the car when she saw the me driving it back into the lot after the test drive (White w/all red interior). I was sold when I hit VTEC for the first time Congradulations. We can't keep our eyes off it, our butts out of it and my foot off the floor!

 

Lookin nice! I bit the teenage years are ending gotta buy a 2seater bullet and picked mine up a few months ago, same color combo... Same situation as you actually, 2002 w/ less than 11k miles and man do i love it! Slapped a voodoo countersunk knob on it and feel deeper inlove, threw the invidia system on and its pure exstacy!

This summer I decided to buy an S2K, and I found a spa yellow '02 with less than 4000 miles. That's not a typo. I don't consider it a midlife crisis, because it never stops. I thought the car thing would wear off, but I'm 31 now, and it hasn't.

Honestly, I wonder how I survived all these years without a ragtop.

 

Congrats! Sometimes you just need to reward yourself for years of hard work. . . and an S2000 is a great way to do it! Enjoy the ride!

Same situation as me. Bought my MY02 recently with 12,755 on the odometer. I feel in love with the car as soon as I pushed the starter button!
