Yes, tonight was the first night that I was able to get my beloved onto the road. It was actually a little nippy, but it's dry. It was the first time in about 2 months that conditions were OK to drive her...up until now, it's strictly been 4Runner material. It broke somewhat today and should continue warming over the next few days...

In preparation for the Dragon run (see http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...p?threadid=4751 for more detail), Jason Saini and Juliann I and I spent the evening having oysters, Guinness and doing an oil change in Juliann's warm garage! What a perfect evening...! (pics to follow!) And I had my first ride ever in a TT, which, I must say, I was quite impressed. Jason's driving? Well, a little scary...but the car was sweet!

lol

Her's is black, very sharp...I'm liking that car more now...even though it's still a goofy looking girl's car...

So, Scarlet is primed and ready for the Dragon...but it was so freaking nice to be behind the wheel. I put a whole 20 miles on! You folks in more temperate climates can't understand how hard this winter has been, especially with a willing S2000 who is sadly unable to be unleashed due to horrid weather.

But I unleashed her tonight, baby! It was awesome. Man, I just that damn car...what great, ridiculous, insane fun it is...

I'm all smiles...!

Greg,

I comiserate with you! It's been awfull here in Sweden, and I have had to drive very gingerly indeed. Very frustrating not to be able to give it som V-tec without fearing loosing the rear-end. But yesterday was quite dry, and cold, so I was able to open it up. Wow! The cold air must be helping the performance, because it felt like an animal!

greg...if you really loved scarlet, you'd move her to a warm hospitable place where you could have your way with her 24-7-365...the red ones love the rough stuff....

Yea, actually, I'll be looking into selling my condo here and moving back south by next Fall. I'm not 100% certain that will happen, but it's pretty close to that. I have been here 4 years and it's so beautiful here in the non-winter months, but it's too freaking cold during winter.

I'm seriously considering Dallas, Atlanta and Raleigh NC. Only time will tell, but any more of this stupid weather and I'm gonna snap and trash this place. It's inhuman!

And yes, Guinness and oysters, what a beautiful combination. I actually had the largest oyster I have ever seen tonight. It was H U G E ! The 2nd dozen I asked for the largest meatiest ones...and DAMN! One right in the center was pointed out to me as the waiter brought it over, I was like ... !

Anyway, yea, I'm just about done with Chicago, this is all the convincing I need...

Good story Greg. I got mine out today for a ride to work. I was so excited yesterday thinking about it, I couldn't sleep last night, it was like I was 8 again waiting for Santa to come! The ride to work this morning was great. And I couldn't agree with you more about the living conditions in the midwest. Outstanding summers - can't be beat. But man do you pay for it in the winter.

Here's some pix from the oil changing event at my house. It was a balmy 50 degrees in the garage! Quite different from the harsh outdoor treatment Scarlett's had for the last few months Can't wait for the road trip down south....

The only thing that would make those pix better is if my blk/blk was sitting there instead of that TT.
