Default I Got It!!!!

Just came back from my first joy ride. 2001 Black/black beauty.

Unfortunately, rigt after I picked it up, the rain came and so did the DIRT!. Any advice on just cleaning up the dust residue on the finish? California duster?? Miracle cloth???

Also, with the top up going over bumps, sounds like a rattle at the ragtop windscreen junction. Maybe coming from the plastic molding/overhead lights... any suggestions?

My first stop was to a Best Buy to buy a CD. Just getting out of the car, a beautiful lady came up to the car in admiration. Just as her husband drove up with his Suburban. They both gahgah'd the car. Said he was going to buy a Z3, but now thinks he'l test drive an s2k! At the same time, a guy obviously parked close to my car and took 2 strolls around it and said "nice car" and walked away.

The only problem I see is the heat may catch a look too many times if ya get my drift...

Thanks for all the info about this great car! I may cancel my M3 convertible order....

welcome to the club.

Lots of info around... so enjoy

NEVER dry dust the car, it's just not a good thing... scratches will follow. Wash it.

There's a wash and wax forum that has all the info yuo need. Also yuo can do a search on the forum to find any other information.

Good Choice

I hope the woman comes to same realization as you and sees how inferior a Z3 actually is.

But remember,

The rattle you mentioned may be coming from the passenger side visor. The rubber bumper is not long enough to prevent the visor from rattling against the window frame. Try putting the visor down and driving, if the rattle is gone, put larger bumber on or a piece of felt in between the visor and frame.
