Default I got in an accident...(pics)

Well I had no control over what happened to my s2000 yesterday morning. I was on my way to work, taking the same route that I do everyday. I was sitting at a stop light making a left hand turn. As the light turned green, I accelerated and about halfway through the turn there was some puddle I drove through. Next thing I know I thought my car was on ice as I lost all traction and went into a 180. My car spun into the car next to it in the left lane. No one was hurt other than being a little sore. I frequently take this car to the track and I am very comfortable with the handling characteristics. But this time I did everything I could and still had no control. It was determined that the "puddle" was not water but was diesel fuel from a truck that had broken down earlier. The damage isnt that bad really. The headlight is in perfect condition. The only pieces that look like they will need to be replaced are the fender and the bumper. At least now I can take the opportunity to clear the headlights while the car is being repaired Anyway here are the pictures of my car and the replacement I am driving until my baby comes back.

Code3, that really sucks! I hope they can track down the owner of the diesel to make them cover your damages...

Rest and get those sore muscles under control, and good luck clearing the lenses!

Glad you are OK. I feel for you too...I wrecked mine a few weeks ago and I know it is tough getting over "losing control". But, try to think of it as keeping enough control that so little damage was done.

Sorry about your accident, man. Glad you're OK. Much as you love your Stook, you're more important that it is! Watch out for potholes with water with a gas or diesel sheen on top.

hey that's almost exactly my damage!! i fixed mine myself cuz it was my irresponsibility that put me into a sping and into a sign. the only broken part (besides headlight mounts, which require a whole new assy) costs $17. front left bumper support beam. took < 1 hour to replace. fender i bent back out by hand, the only paint damage was on the plastic bumper. i figure it's a wear part, i have so many bugs caked onto the thing anyway
