Hey man I know exactly what you feel - although I only have myself to blame for what happened to my car..

The VERY FIRST day I bought the S2k, I parked outside a friend's house for five minutes. I came back out, hopped into the car, threw her into reverse, checked my mirrors, and off I went - CRUNCH. There was a f*ing yellow concrete cylinder in the ground too low for my mirrors and in that huge blind spot we all deal with.

It's just a big hunk of metal - the sooner you can get the whole "not a scratch" BS out of your head the sooner you can start enjoying the car. It's the experiences you have with the car that matter.. not the car itself. So track the SOB and give it some more damage!

Sorry to hear that. We all know that to get the vehicle professionally repaired does not exactly make us "whole" after someone hits our car. The car has now "been in an accident" and thus you must make the next buyer aware of this by law. I used to be a liability claims adjuster for a major insurance company and my advice to you is to state a case that you are not being made "whole" with the repairs alone (I would say that your car is "exotic", etc.) and you might be able to get a few extra bucks from your insurance (or hers, depending on subrogation). Each case is evaluated independently and you could get lucky. Of course, you could always sue, but would cost you more to do so in the end. Happy driving!

I can relate big time. I just bought my 03 last June. The car wasn't 3 weeks old and some fool rear ended me also. It wasn't my fault either. $1200 worth of damage. I felt as you did. The car is brand new and I've got a "used" car already. Be glad you're safe and take it to a quality auto body shop. You'll feel better after you get it back but you'll be depressed with the rental or whatever else you have to drive. You've got one of the best values in sports cars around. Keep the faith and enjoy it when you get it back. And...
cruise with attitude.

BTW
In the meantime, order a few small custom goodies to put on your baby when you get it back.
