Was out in the garage tonight and something caught my eye. It looked like what I thought was a piece
of rock stuck in driver side rear tire. On closer inspection it turned out I picked up a screw along the
way. Any of my fellow S2000 owners in Danville, San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton or Livermore
have any recommendations of shops you have used that I can bring the S2 in and have the tire fixed? Or just the tire for that matter.

Problem with those fvcking screws is even worse when it is raining...Got one on my SUV by the side wall so the tire is useless now.

E ticket,

If the screw went through the tread, just about any garage should be able to make with the patching, probably for around $10 too (what a deal!). But, if the scew went through the sidewall, as above, then there's usually no way to patch it...

Good luck!

I've found the folks at Discount Tire to fairly adept; in fact, if you've ever bought tires there they won't even charge you to fix the flat.

I had the same thing happen and I brought the car to Big O, of all places. They had a plastic only changing machine and took great care with the repair. I was pleasantly surprised.

I had the same problem and I took it to Big-O in San Ramon right next to Sponges and kitty corner from the Costco. They did an excellent job and even let me got out and take a look under the car while they were doing the work.

Precision Tune of Oakland (41st and Broadway) - but any shop will do as long as no hole in sidewall and the hole is small enough.

BTW...

Where abouts do you live. Some of us in the area are thinking about getting a little meet together...Pete's Brass Rail in Danville has been mentioned as a possible location. Thoughts!

Thanks you for the info. The screw is in the tread, so I lucked out there.

Humanatek, I'm in Dublin. Please send me an e-mail if you get a meet together and Pete's sounds good.

For the love of God, DON'T GO TO BIG-O!!!!

I took my Jeep there once, and they damaged my brakes in an attempt to repair a tire!

Go to Seever & Sons in Pleasanton.
