I went to a dealer, didn't know if it was honda or not, and there it was on the showroom floor, right next to a 1997 7 series BMW, which looked like a 3 series.

The backend looked really neat, like a futureistic kind of look, but the rest car looked the same. The dealer said it was really an '03, and he didn't think they were making it anymore, so now was my chance.

Then I woke up with my dog licking my face.

 

Thank God your dog woke you up.

 

That would have been funny if you played out your dream and bought the car and loved it... then woke up. Then you would have really been pissed.

I wonder how much the dealer could have taken you for? $3000 over invoice? Maybe higher?

 

I don't know, he seemed to be pretty nice, I didn't get the feeling that he cleaned it with a diaper. I think I looked into the interior and it was the same as what I had. I remember telling him something like "Yea, they're nice cars, I have one out there." Then I pointed to my car and it was an off white.

Usually I dream about stupid stuff, this was the most realistic dream I've had in a while.

Unfortunately, I've been entertaining the thought of getting rid of the S since I'll be planning for a family soon and the money spent on the S may be well spent in saving up for little ones. I think I had this dream because I talked to my fiancee about trading in the S for a reliable car, which was the meaning behind the BMW 7 series? I think it was for $14,000 or something like that. I can't believe I remember this crap from last night.

It was brand new too. It was a 1997, that BMW green color. I think they kept marking it down because no one would buy it.


I'm a few months away from being able to walk in and trade in the S. I'll probably just wait until the spring when I can sell it private and then I can just walk in and get a used civic or something like that.

 

Those damn dealers will stop at nothing to sell you a car, now they're Freddy Kruegering you to buy a car.

 

I woke up with a '03 sales prochure under my pillow. damn good marketing.
