Default I have a question

I bought my car at 44,461 miles. I bought the car two years ago and the mileage at last fill-up was 52,000 miles. I got in the car and it said 85,421 miles. How did this happen? Anyone experience the same thing. My car has 33,000 miles more than it should.

....

You're probably noticing that when the speedometer says you're going 60, you're actually going 40mph?

Its almost as if your cluster is off by 1.6X.

Do you reset your trip meter when you fill up?

Did it not reset when you tried holding a certain button down?

Does it usually say "MPH" somewhere on the cluster? And does it say something different now?

80,000/50,000 = 1.6.

What is the significance of this 1.6?!!

madness.

My friend did a "5K" run.

But...turns out you have to divide by 1.6 to get the amount of miles that he ran.

Default I have a question.

I figured it out. The mileage was somehow in kilometers and I changed it to miles and all is well. By the way, I changed the trip odometer. Must have done something. Forget it all is okay right now.

If you hold the button long enough it will change from miles to kilometers, your speedometer will also display KPH instead of MPH.

Up here in the great white north we use KPH and so do may countries, universal car!
