Default I just finished the diffuser on my first light

It wasn't that hard. A little scary when your cooking the light but it turned out pretty well. The directions are great.

Did you cook it with the HID ballast in?

I took the ballast out. That thing was hot enough with out a large piece of metal on it

The Ballast is very easy to take out.

I didn't wear any gloves. I didn't burn myself either. I just didn't hold on to the light for very long

When I did mine, I left the ballasts in. Haven't had any problems yet.

I have a white/red and I put in the clear. It's a matter personal
taste, but I thought the clear matches the high beam reflector better than the smoked.

On another color the smoked might look like a better match.

I also used silver 1400 deg grill paint to lightly cover the amber
turn signals so the look silver in the lens, but still flash bright amber. I used the clear led running lights that are amber when they are on. You cannot even tell there are bulbs in the lights unless you look closely!
