I think I discovered that the passenger beam area holds a sixer perfect before I discovered the "secret compartment"!

Try the special top-down setting on the heater control next time. It distributes the air better in an open car, and as a bonus puts most of the flow right on the shift knob.

PS: Instead of using a knob cover, I've bought special covers for my hands. They're called driving gloves, and are actually sold in many stores.
