Default I made a cup holder.

As we know that S does not come with a cup holder. Rightfully so, its a focused drivers car. That being said every time I get into the car i'm not necessarily entering a time attack, sometime I just want to cruise with a coffee on an early Sunday morning. The square compartment behind the soft top controls is not cutting it. Round cup, square hole. Not to mention its directly where my elbow wants to rest when driving/shifting.

I know there are universal cup holders available but the idea of drilling into the interior, simply to mount some cheap plastic cup holder, is not for me.

So I came up with this. Its made of light weight aluminum that I wrapped in black leather (I do leather work as a hobby). The cup holder simply slides into place and is secure. It does not interfere with the radio door and is easily accessed by the driver (or significant other) while driving.

My apologies for the bad pics, the car is in poorly lit storage with top up and no battery.

You do very good work. Looks good and it looks like it can be removed very quickly and easily.

As we know that S does not come with a decent cup holder.
Would be a better topic sentence.

Plan on producing these? If so let us (or me, anyway) know! Looks good.

Thanks very much. Yes, by design, it takes 2 seconds to install/remove.

Nice work.
Similarly, I used a modified console cell phone mount to achieve the goal of a quickly removable but stable cup holder.

subbing just in case there's enough interest for you to produce these, maybe just a bit thinner as well so it doesn't raise but what a perfect subtle solution =]
