I might have created a situation for myself
I have a solution. Pull the spark plugs or remove a fuse or 2. When she tries to "start" it, well obviously it wont. Then you can blame her for "breaking" your new car. Tell her you need some new parts (mods!) and tell her not to touch it. Now, you get new toys, and she doesn't touch your s2k LOL.

Well, in the summer we are hoping to trade in the RL for a S, but instead of a S2000 it will be a 2013 S6! The fiancé wants a S6 in the worst way. I was ok with an A6, but I'm not complaining. I'm a lucky guy because she loves cars as much as I do. We are on the call list for the pre order.
Well, if she is insured and is helping to pay the bills, only fair she gets to enjoy it as well
. I'm sure it will be fine...just stress to her the importance of practicing safe driving in the rain, especially with the S. The more she enjoys it, the more she might be willing to 'allow' you to mod it as well.
Lucky to have a lady that enjoys cars and understands the passion behind them.
