Default I miss my S2000 a little bit

Last month after having a few really scary experiences on my drive home in the snow (on snow tires) in my S2000 I decided that time had come to trade it in. The S2000 was my daily driver and with the traffic I drive in every day I started to feel like it isn't the safest thing out there.

So I traded it in for a 2008 GTI. I like the GTI and the turbo is great and it is safe (lots of airbags, traction control, etc) and comfy with a great interior. But I miss my S2000 a little bit.

I know I could have gotten a beater, but I wanted something safe and practical and reliable and a cheap beater is a total question mark and I didn't really want to pay for 2 cars (insurance, parking spot, etc)

I think I'll be getting another one, or I may just get a used Elise or Exige in a few years (wifey said i could get one as a 30th b-day present, so 5 years) or if the S2000's with high mileage get under 10k then I may just come back to that.

Anyway, just had to get that off my chest. Thanks.

I got an 06 with VSA, and I don't have any problems in the snow, so long as I have ground clearance!

It's probably financially too late to get a new S though, so you may as well milk it for an Exige...

I just got my S a few weeks ago here in CT. I kept my '99.5 A4 Quattro for daily driving, even though the S came with 2 sets of wheels for summer and winter tires.

I'm sure you'll miss the S when the weather warms up, but at least you have something to look forward to. And as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Just remember to share pics of the Lotus when you get it.

hahahaha! I owned myself on that one

Thanks for the words guys. GTI is a fun car. Guess I just need to hold out a few years for an elise/exige and a katana supercharger.

if your single, and doing decent financially, ditch the GTI get back in an S2000 and enjoy the car for what its worth. Life's too short.
