I am putting the new ergal rotors on today and I need to know what size the axle nuts are! (look for pictures later, but they look freaking beautiful!)

Before you start yapping at me about not having the Helm's manual, I just don't have one...I use Jason's and they are in Texas racing this weekend!

So, please someone with a Helm's manual, let me know what size the axle nuts are and if there is anything special to taking all of the rotors off. I have done this before on lots of GM cars, but never on a Honda. Is there anything special? Do I need cotter pins? Do I need wheel bearing grease? Is there anything special that I need?!

Thanks!

don't know why you are asking about axle nuts.. once the wheel is off, take off the calipers, and then you will see how to get the rotors off, don't have MY helms in front of me ... but if I remember correctly, there is a philips screw(or several) that holds the rotor to the hub... remove it(those) and you should be in good shape.

Oh, wow, no axle nut removal...that simplifies things.

Thanks for the tip!

I finally got ahold of Brad (meat), he has a shop manual and despite his wicked hangover, he and I are going to work on our cars today. Any other tips?

Gee, from the title, I thought some of the psychologists/psychiatrists on the board might have a new client!

It is not difficult to change a rotor, Greg, but the rotor has to want to change.

I'm at work for another 45 minutes, but I'll be home around noon mountain time. If no one else has looked it up for you, I'll look in my Helm's manual when I get home and post it here.

I'm around today too, and I've got the Helm manual in my trunk. Let me know if you need to borrow it...
