Default I Painted My Knob

Shift knob that is. Anyone else tried this? Cheap and easy mod. Just get some acrylic hobby paint from any local store. I used a toothpick to get into the grooves of the shift pattern. Let it dry for a little bit and softly wipe off the excess with nail polish remover and a paper towel. It looked like crap at first but 3 coats did the trick.

Looks nice. When I bought my voodoo knob a few months ago I sprayed it suzuka. It is the details that matter most. Good job.

Looks good. You can also use the paint they sell at guns stores to paint gun sights. There are a bunch of colors and they come with a little applicator.

You can also get the shiftknob for the new CIVIC type R.... it has the same design as the 00/01 s2000 but its red instead of black.

I agree with rateds2k, I also got the VooDoo knob with the 6-speed shift pattern on it, I spray painted the shift pattern a dark blue to match the interior.

You can also get the knob for the Acura TSX. It's the same as the '02 knob but the shift pattern is in red.

I looked at all these knobs. It comes down to what you want to pay for it. I chose paint ($4) over a Type R knob ($50). Made sense to me.
